This cottage is part of my grandparents’ house, consisting mainly of a 3 floors wing built around 1930.
It is located at the central and highest point of the property, hence its name, and enjoys exceptional views of the Loire River and the city of Blois.
The entire cottage was completely renovated in 2025, preserving the original parquet and tiled floors.
IT IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR RENTAL, AS THE RENOVATION IS NOT YET COMPLETE.
The living room is in a much older section of the house and features a beautiful fireplace, two sofas, and a 120cm internet TV with Netflix.
On the ground floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen with a stovetop, microwave, oven, SMEG refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, and toaster.
Adjoining the kitchen and opening onto it is the dining room with its large table seating at least eight people.
There are four bedrooms:
- On the first floor, one with a 160cm double bed and a beautiful view of the Loire River.
- Next door on the same floor, one with two 90cm single beds that can be joined with a mattress topper.
- On the second floor, a large bedroom with a cathedral ceiling, a 160cm double bed, and the most beautiful view.
- Next door, a small bedroom with a single bed and a cot.
Two bathrooms (one on the first floor and one on the second) and separate toilets on the ground and first floors.
A washing machine and dryer are located in a closet on the ground floor.
The accommodation is heated with a heat pump. A fast charging point for electric vehicles is available.
There is a large terrace in front of the three ground-floor rooms with views of the city of Blois, the Loire River, and the Russy forest on the opposite bank. A lawn and a path lined with century-old boxwood hedges lead 70m down closer to the Loire, offering further views.
A garage close to the house provides storage for your bicycles.
The location is secluded and very peaceful. Our own house is 25 meters away, but we can’t see each other. We don’t own the other half of the house, which is sometimes occupied by cousins, but they rarely visit.
